A survey shows 30% average growth and healthy combined sales turnover of € 37.46 billion for DISTREE EMEA distributors
Attendees of the DISTREE XXL 2008 have completed online questionnaires detailing their sales out data, offering a compelling insight into the health of the EMEA distribution channel. The questionnaire, which covers a two year period, revealed a massive €37.46 billion in collective sales in 2007 – up more than 30% from 2006.

82.6% distribution activities, 7.7% PC assembly operations, 6.4% retail activities, 3.3% direct sales to end-user customers

38.6% dealers and resellers, 21.8% retail channel, 14.1% assemblers, 10% VAR channel, 8% sub-distributors, 2.7% e-commerce sites, 2.4% exporters, 1.8% traders and telecom operators

Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) 61.1%, Nordics 49.5%, Maghreb region 43.6%, Baltic States 40.2%, Southern Europe 33.3%, Benelux 22.1%, Dach 17.6%, UK & Ireland 11.5%
Emerging markets: Russia & CIS 29.7%, Middle East 26.1%, Africa 19.7%

The distributor survey also highlighted some strong variation in sell-out channels from region to region. 19.4% of distributor sell-out in the Nordics was sold to e-commerce websites, while that figure was 0.2% for the combined Middle East & Africa region.
